Each kernel undergoes multistage cleaning, precision degermination to remove fat-containing germ, and controlled milling to produce uniformly-sized coarse particles. The product is then sieved and sorted to ensure the particle size fits industry requirements for flaking and extrusion.
These grits possess high starch content, natural yellow color, and low fat content—making them ideal for thermal processing, toasting, and further enhancement with flavors and vitamins. They are also used in the brewing industry as an adjunct to barley malt, helping control fermentation speed and alcohol content.
